Being pleasing unto the Lord

 


We were created for God’s pleasure, and our purpose is to live in a way that pleases Him and fulfills His will.

For many, the idea of pleasing God can feel overwhelming, especially if you grew up with a strict, perfectionist father and always felt like you could never measure up. You may have even heard statements like, “You can never please anyone.” While it’s true that we can’t always please people, the good news is that we can be pleasing to God, because He has made it possible for us to do so.

2 Peter 1:3 CEV– “We have everything we need to live a life that pleases God. It was all given to us by God's own power, when we learned He had invited us to share in His wonderful goodness.”

How amazing is that! God not only calls us to live a life that pleases Him, but He also equips us with everything we need to do it. It’s like being given an exam along with the answer sheet, all we have to do is follow what He has already provided.

No matter your past, never be discouraged. The moment you come to the knowledge of God, you can live a life that pleases Him.

Settle this truth in your heart and never let it go, don’t believe the lie that you don’t have what it takes to please God!

A little bit about me It has taken me a very long time, than i could imagine for me to finally start this blog. Just a little bit information about me. I'm a young Christian girl, who grew up in a catholic home. I come from a family of 7 and I'm the 6th born. Although i grew up in a christian family, I received Jesus as my personal savior when i was 15 during my first year at St Davids Girls High Bonda from that day onward i have never turned back. I have seen myself growing in the knowledge and fear of God. It has not been an easy road but following Christ has been the best decision i have ever made in my life.
